Security Statement:
We offer both onsite, as well as offsite storage media destruction to meet your strict security guidelines, or your time constrained schedule. If data destruction is an elected option, every piece of hardware that comes through our door is inspected for storage media such as hard drives, server tapes, and other various types of physical storage media, which is then summarily destroyed. We offer on request certificates of destruction for all destroyed media. All items are also thoroughly inspected for any type of asset tag or indication of point of origin, and all asset tags are removed and destroyed on the spot during the check in process. We offer full indemnity on all items removed from your facilities. We make your security, our security.
Data Sanitization:
DoD 5220.22-M is sometimes cited as a standard for sanitization to counter data remanence. The NISPOM actually covers the entire field of government-industrial security, of which data sanitization is a very small part (about two paragraphs in a 141 page document). Furthermore, the NISPOM does not actually specify any particular method. Standards for sanitization are left up to the Cognizant Security Authority. The Defense Security Service provides a Clearing and Sanitization Matrix (C&SM) which does specify methods. As of the June 2007 edition of the DSS C&SM, overwriting is no longer acceptable for sanitization of magnetic media; only degaussing or physical destruction is acceptable.

Destruction Process:
Once a hard drive is removed from a component, it is placed in a press which crushes, pierces, and warps the data platters, if made of metal, and shatters the platters if they are made of glass.
Wafers, floppys, CD’s, flash chips, and other similar media types are sheared which severs the items rendering them useless.
All items are then cleared for the sorting and recycling process.
In keeping with our environmentally friendly goal, as well as putting security in the driver seat, our proprietary crusher destroys data in front of your very eyes, but uses zero electricity. This means there is a much smaller footprint as it uses far less energy than your typical degausser, shredder, or electrical crusher. We are also capable of destroying hundreds of drives an hour with our press.
